Currently preparing the 1/3rd acre used the last two years by several community groups
We are working towards the community growing on this plot and lots more within London and surrounds like the one above. Mostly disused or underused land that could be brought into valuable use for the community by the community. Currently preparing the 1/3rd acre used the last two years by several community groups around Maidstone and a 2 acre plot in Greenwich. We also have partners to work with on improving their community involvement through Local Food and growing and aim to extend the art and crafts to provide a broader scope for further involvement, all based on natural products we can grow.
This work will continue to include the local schools and colleges currently involved and extend to new with the aim towards a broader scope of the work of farm academies to help people understand farm systems and perhaps find a career or role within them.
If you would like further info go to the http://www.facebook.com/LondonCSA and follow, we'll keep you posted. Membership is likely to be open from this summer with workshops at any time soon.
