why Bradbourne?

the river runs from East Malling through to the Medway at New Hall. Through known for many years as the Bradbourne that name was lost to the more memorable 'East Malling Stream'

It naturally connects our three principal communities of East Malling, Larkfield and Ditton

ProjectDirt.com - Local food on the Green - our barrow of veg and more - each Saturday in Ditton

 to
Ditton village green, Outside St Peter's church, New Road, Ditton ME20 6AE

Every Saturday from 12noon until 2pm.

Ditton Parish Council have allowed us the option of running our charity barrow to the green each week. This is for our local veg we grow with the help of schools and groups who desperately need the opportunities we may provide on our 5 acre field off Bradbourne Lane.

Although we did take a break during the cold, dark winter months and then tried an ambitious festival in the church centre we've decided to stick to basics and keep it simple with the barrow.

This week we'll have potatoes (we still have half tonne in store).... a good all-round potato best for chips or roast. Spinach. Purple Sprouting Broccoli and salad, Herbs in pots, Radish. leeks

For this season we have over 400 metres of new potato, 80 metres of courgettes and 80 metres of pumpkins and squash along with masses of other goodies for foodies like onions and carrots, cabbage and more.

Donations for our charity work for schools and groups. We soon aim to expand now we've successfully started with Five Acre Wood 6th form.

also

I wonder if anyone may know of a local supplier of compost in bulk?

Ideally someone who we may approach for some charitable donation to our education sessions with the sixth form from Five Acre Wood School who are with us this coming week on work experience.

Thanks in advance, we may collect somehow.

all help appreciated to keep us going, thanks in advancehttps://mydonate.bt.com/charities/communigrow
